Overview

Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) worked with IT services company Kyndryl and Nokia to deploy private LTE networks at eight of its U.S. facilities, including its headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas, as announced on November 15, 2023.[1] The networks run on Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) in CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) spectrum and give workers access to business applications across 3,000 mobile devices.[1][2] RCR Wireless reported that CPChem had outdoor Wi-Fi but wanted high-performance connectivity indoors and outdoors for connected-worker programs.[3] The sources do not name the individual plants beyond the headquarters.
