Overview
Betacom Perimeter Surveillance Solution (PSS) is a turnkey outdoor security system that runs cameras and AI threat detection over Betacom's managed private 4G/5G network, its 5G as a Service (5GaaS).[1][2] Betacom announced it on March 21, 2023 with Axis Communications, which supplies fixed thermal and pan/tilt/zoom cameras, and Evolon Technology, which supplies AI-based image detection.[2][3] The package includes cameras, AI, private wireless connectivity and solar or grid power, and Betacom installs, manages and operates it while the customer owns the network and data.[1] It targets the perimeters of airports, warehouses and manufacturing sites.[1]
