Overview

Druid Software is an Irish company, headquartered in Bray, County Wicklow, that has developed cellular core network software since 2000.[1][2] Its Raemis platform implements standalone core networks that work with 2G to 5G and Wi-Fi radios from any vendor, supports LTE, 5G non-standalone and 5G standalone on the same platform, and runs as virtual machines or containers.[3] Druid focuses on core software rather than radios; in the U.S. its core appears in projects with radio makers and integrators such as JMA Wireless, Airspan and InfiniG, and Heddian offers it to electric utilities.[2][4][5][6]

Headquarters
Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland.[2]
Founded
2000.[1]
Ownership and funding
Privately held; RCR Wireless News reported in January 2025 that Druid raised $20 million led by J2 Ventures and HICO Investment Group, its first outside venture funding.[7]

Product lines

  • Raemiscore

Druid Raemis is a core network platform with a built-in REST API that supports LTE, 5G non-standalone and 5G standalone on the same platform and can be delivered as virtual machines or containers.[3]

  • Raemis MOCN Gatewaycore

A multi-operator core network gateway that lets a shared in-building network carry multiple mobile operators' subscribers, used in InfiniG's CBRS neutral-host service.[5]

Reported deployments

  • Carnegie Mellon University Living Edge Lab, Pittsburgh

JMA said in September 2021 that the CBRS campus network uses JMA XRAN radio software with the Druid core running on AWS Snowball Edge.[4]

  • Gale South Beach hotel, Miami Beach

InfiniG announced in June 2024 that its CBRS-based multi-operator coverage service at the hotel uses Airspan radios and Druid's Raemis MOCN gateways.[5]

  • Port of Rotterdam container terminals

RCR Wireless News reported in 2019 that Druid's private LTE core, with Airspan small cells and integrator Koning & Hartman, connected more than 500 vehicles across 19 eNodeBs in the 3.7 GHz band.[8]

  • Unnamed European railway

Railway Technology reported in March 2025 that Airspan and Druid deployed private 5G (Airspan Open RAN with the Raemis 5G core) at maintenance and operational sites of a major European railway.[9]

Company updates

  1. Druid acquired the team and intellectual property of Node-H, a Munich-based developer of RAN and user equipment software, while keeping its focus on core network software.[2][10]
