Federated Wireless runs a Spectrum Access System (SAS), the cloud service that coordinates CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) radios in the 3.5 GHz band, together with an Environmental Sensing Capability (ESC) sensor network that detects incumbent signals.[1] On January 27, 2020, the FCC certified it as one of four SAS Administrators for full commercial deployment in the band.[2] Beyond spectrum management, it describes itself as a provider of private wireless networks for enterprises, government agencies and defense organizations, and it was prime contractor on the Marine Corps private 5G network at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Georgia.[3][4] It also sells 6 GHz Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC), active DAS (distributed antenna system) and network-planning software.[5]
Federated Wireless's CBRS Spectrum Controller is its SAS service, with modules for spectrum assignment, OEM integration APIs, analytics and regulatory case management, backed by a 24x7 network operations center.[1]
Private 5G for government logistics covers planning, design, optimization, management and support for federal warehousing and base operations.[4]
