Overview

Samsung's private network solution packages its baseband, radios, Compact Core and a private network management system as what Samsung calls a one-box solution for sites that need private 5G coverage quickly.[1] Samsung offers it for on-premises deployment, with all components at the customer's site, and also describes private networks built on a slice of a mobile operator's network.[1] The core is Samsung Compact Core, which Samsung says contains the fundamental 5G core functions on one or a few commercial servers.[1] Samsung's page highlights smart factories, campuses, public sector sites and energy, with named work for Hyundai Motor Company, NTT East, Aramco and SaskTel, none of them U.S. deployments.[1]
