Samsung Networks is the network equipment business of Samsung Electronics, headquartered in Suwon, South Korea.[1] For private 5G it sells packages that combine baseband units, indoor and Massive MIMO radios, the Compact Core and a Private Network Management Solution, deployed on premises or through a mobile operator's network slice.[2] In the U.S., Samsung's OnGo-certified CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) radios have been used in campus networks such as Howard University's, and Kajeet became an authorized U.S. distributor of its private RAN in 2022.[3][4][5]
The Samsung private network solution is a one-box package of baseband and radio, Compact Core and the Private Network Management Solution (PNMS).[2]
Samsung Compact Core runs core functions, an edge enabler server and element management on a single server and can operate as a 4G EPC, 5G non-standalone or 5G standalone core, on premises, hybrid or in an operator data center.[6]

Samsung and Amdocs said on February 11, 2022 that a CBRS network using Samsung's OnGo-certified 4T4R radios and baseband with the Amdocs core serves more than 6,000 students, faculty and residents.[3]
Samsung says it deployed a private 5G network at Hyundai Motor's Ulsan plant in October 2024, and in February 2025 the companies reported an end-to-end RedCap trial using radios in the 4.7 GHz band.[7]
Samsung and OPTAGE announced in May 2021 a private 5G network for 4K video monitoring at a plant, using Samsung radios, baseband and Compact Core.[8]
