Overview

The Ericsson Cradlepoint W2255 is a 5G wireless WAN adapter rather than a full router: a single IP67-rated model that mounts indoors or outdoors and hands its cellular connection over Ethernet to an Ericsson E-series router (as a captive modem) or to a third-party SD-WAN or WAN router.[1][2] It uses a 3GPP Release 17 modem with 5G standalone network slicing and LTE Category 20 fallback.[2] The North American model lists CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) Band 48 and n48 for private networks; the global model does not.[2]
