Overview

Ericsson, based in Sweden, provides mobile network equipment and software to service providers, enterprises and the public sector, and its Enterprise segment includes private 5G networks, sold as Ericsson Private 5G.[1][2] Ericsson Private 5G pairs two on-premises controllers per site (a dual-mode 4G/5G core, VPN and SIM manager) with Ericsson radios, from indoor Radio Dots to outdoor macro radios, and a cloud-based Network Management Portal.[2] In the U.S. it is sold through partners such as Insight Enterprises, and in September 2024 Ericsson announced Private 5G Compact, a CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) offering for U.S. enterprises.[3][4]
