Semtech, a Camarillo, California, semiconductor company, acquired Sierra Wireless in January 2023 and now sells Sierra Wireless's AirLink cellular routers under the Semtech name.[1][2][3] For private LTE and 5G networks, Semtech markets AirLink vehicle, industrial and compact routers that it says support CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) LTE and, on 5G models, private 5G standalone bands including n48, managed through the AirLink Lifecycle Management System (ALMS).[3] In August 2026 Semtech agreed to sell its cellular module business to Compal Electronics; the announcement does not say whether the AirLink router line is part of that sale.[4]
